Free Will

Jawaharial Nehru once said" Life is like a game of cards. The hand you are dealt is determinism the way you play it is free will". Basically what it is trying to say is that in our hand there are choices, we choose the card we want to put down. I can agree with that quote because in the book " The warrior's heart" a man named Eric Greitens is faced with many choices throughout his life as being a teacher in China ,as a boxer, and as a Navy Seal. This can be clearly seen in this book as I explained it because Eric Greitens cards where those three that he put down. For example when Eric was a teacher in china and was teaching English to his students. He wondered if  that would help him change the world knowing more people form different countries. But later on he can see that after an incident that had happened, he realized it wasn't mean't for him.When he came back from china he decided to do something else.So he wanted to do boxing ,something that his grandfather has been telling him ever since he was kid. Later on he started putting the gloves on and found out that was for him but didn't know if thats what he wanted to do.After graduating Oxford he started researching the U.S Navy's Sea, Air, and Land teams.What caught his eye was the Navy Seals. He decided on it ,it offered an opportunity to lead and the chance to serve his country.But it would pay off for him in the future.

Card 4
It was June the 10th ,1998 at Dalton ,GA.That day came like no other when three kids Winter,Isabella,and Mason met an english bulldog that could talk!It all happen when the three kids were playing at a playground and Winter went to the swings.Winter was having fun when a dog came out of the woods and looked at her.She noticed the dog and wondered who did the dog belong to.So she called Isabella and Mason and wondered if they knew what to do.Mason noticed that the dog had no collar and he said "maybe its a stray!",Isabella and winter looked at each other and wondered if they should keep it.So they all were discussing if they should keep it or not and the dog just could'nt take the yelling so he said"stop talking !".The three kids turned slowly at each other with duck faces,and the dog said "oops i mean ruff!".The three kids were still standing there for an hour still looking at the dog,the dog said "really your still processing this?"The kids looked at each other and Mason said "you can talk!"and Winter said "what type of dog can say processing!",Isabella said "what type of dog can say anything!".The dog said"i can sing and whisle to".

I am strong willed and intelligent
I am compassionate and courageous
I wonder what will come for me in the future
I hear my commanding officer yelling at me and my platoon
I see others suffering of pain
I want become a champion boxer
I am a decorated combat veteran




I pretend to know everything
I feel determined to do my job
I touch other peoples hearts
I worry for my life and my family
I cry of pain when I am in training
I am a soldier




I understand what needs to be done
I say i can never give up
I dream of being the best that i can be
I try my best in everything that i am asked to do
I hope to come back home in one piece
I am a navy seal

I can compare this quote to my life because my hero is my mother .Even though she is an ordinary idividual , she has the strength to endure even to the end.My mother has been through many trails and yet she can still take it.Maybe she may not have powers like superman like super strength or heat vision ,but she has a strong will to keep going.To me that sounds like a hero ,someone who never gives up in life no matter what happens.
